​A FLORIDA ANTHOLOGY

We're publishing an anthology in the spirit of resistance and disruption, persistence and radical love--all features of what it takes to build and sustain community in the face of legislation aimed at banning and silencing our voices.

Send us your poems and stories of protest, survival, challenge, and triumph. We want to amplify the voices of BIPOC poets and writers currently living in Florida, the voices of historically resilient and consistently bold communities who refuse to be silenced or ignored.

Submission guidelines:

We're accepting poems and prose work from BIPOC* (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) writers and poets currently living in Florida.
*We thank you in advance for helping us create and hold space for these historically marginalized voices.

• Please limit your nonfiction and fiction prose submissions (personal essays, short stories, prose poems) to 1500 words, and limit your verse poetry submissions to no more than two (2) poems.
• Prose submissions must be in a standard 12 pt font (Arial, TNR, Aptos, Courier, etc.) and double-spaced with numbered pages.
• Submissions must be submitted as .doc, .docx, .rtf, or .pdf
• Please do not put your name anywhere in or on the manuscript
• Name your submission file with the following convention: Last Name - Submission Title - Submission Type (Fiction, Nonfiction, or Poetry)
• We do not accept previously published work but will accept simultaneous submissions (please let us know right away if your work has been accepted elsewhere)
